Welcome to the offical Pili Pala Childrenswear Blog. Pili Pala Childrenswear marks a new chapter in my life in manys ways. After the birth of  my second child, Mia, I became increasingly frustrated with what was available clothes wise for her. Living in a small rural town choices are obviously limitted, however even clothes shopping in bigger cities I found the market to be flooded with pink for girls and typical blue for boys. Unisex clothes were almost never to be found unless you really spent hours searching on the internet and as a busy working mum of young kids who has that luxury! I knew what I was looking for but I just couldn't seem to find it! My little girl, now two obsviously adores pink and I'm fine with that. In fact, I like pink I just need  a little bit less of it in my life!

When I created Pili Pala I didn't set out to create a completely organic clothes line. Design and comfort were my first priorities. After spending many hours looking at fabric swatches I noticed that the organic cottons, seemed to be so much softer. Long gone were the days when buying organic meant dull drab colour. These days brands are acheiving amazing results with colour and eco friendly fabrics. At the same I was incredibly conscious about my responsibilties as a new business. It was imperative that Pili Pala should be a good role model and for me that naturally ment trying to be as sustainable as possible and at the same time ensuring all our kids clothes are produced ethically.

I am really proud of what we have achevied so far. Two months in and we have had some fantastic response. The brown and green striped velours seem to really put a smile on people's faces and I'm always being asked to make the brown pini dress for adults....though if I'm honest I don't really see it myself!
