Sugar and Spice

Monday 13 June 2011

This one goes out to all you little girls out there! Pili Pala would like to introduce our new girlie girl dresses! Our brand new bluebell print makes its mark on our loveable so soft pink organic long sleeved dresses...perfect for everyday casual wear. We have also introduced our beloved bird and bird houses print to this season's shade of  organic teal. Both dresses feature our signature chocolate brown trim...just enough to give it that Scandinavian edge we are so fond of!  Team these organic girl dresses up with sandals, trainers or indeed barefoot for summer fun and when the weather isn't playing ball...a pair of Pili Pala leggings will do just nicely thank you!

As always...Pili Pala is passionate about how are clothes are made. These dresses along with all our garments are made and designed in Wales with love. Here's to lazy summer fun ahead!

What's new?

Thursday 11 November 2010

We have some rather exciting news! We're launching our 2011 collection today! Yippee! We're working with one of our fabulous local stockists, Jac-do in Aberaron, and holding a launch event at their shop tonight. Customers and fans of Pili Pala are all welcome to join in the fun - champagne corks will be flying! Amongst the new range are some seriously cute outfits, starting with the all important organic underwear available in either organic red cotton or organic red and navy cotton with a yellow trim (so cool we want some grown up ones too!). Other new additions include dungarees and a dungaree dress, a cosy blanket, snug velour jumper and some really rather trendy baby vests and babygros. Our collectiin is being rolled out to stores as we speak and the full collection will be available on our website in February. Can't wait that long for one of our new velour jumpsuits? Need one now? Drop us a line and we'll put you in touch with one of our stockists. Getting back to the serious business of our launch ( we're always serious about having fun!). If you're lucky enough to be in the Aberaeron area today, pop in to Jac-do for a glass of bubbly, a slice of cake and a peek at our new collection -it'd be great to see you there!

Save the planet - go organic!

Saturday 04 September 2010

We’re celebrating Organic Fortnight at Pili Pala Childrenswear.  The two week campaign organised by the Soil Association runs from the 3rd to the 17th of September and aims to highlight the benefits of going organic.  Being a company which produces organic childrenswear we’re ready to party!

When we set up Pili Pala we were keen to ensure that our environmental impact as clothing manufacturers was kept to a minimum.  We’ve therefore been very careful to select organic cotton and recycled fabrics for our clothing ranges – all of which are produced in the UK.  We believe that fashionable clothes shouldn’t be produced in sweatshops or compromise the health of the people or the places involved in producing them.  If you’d like to learn a little more about the benefits of organic cotton take a look at this page.

If, like us, you fancy marking the fortnight with a bit of a celebration, the Soil Association has a few handy ideas about how you can turn a deeper shade of green!  We’re going to town and baking a cake made from organic ingredients (not that we need an excuse to bake mind you!).

Now, pass me another organic chocolate to go with the organic wine!

What is Eco Chic?

Thursday 22 October 2009

So what exactly do I mean by Eco chic? If I was remotely academic I suppose I would examine the two words independently...starting with Eco...as in the environment and all things related to; natural as in pure, no nasty stuff added as in chemicals, organic. Kind to the environment, looking after the world we live. This could  also imply a sense of moral obligation. In this sense, I mean to have ethics; to be ethical.  Chic...a noun for style elegance: artistic skill - adjective; having chic: smart and fashionable.

In simpler terms: Pili Pala Childrenswear aims to create fashionable, comfortable kids clothes that are kinder to the environment and ethically made.
